Dreaming IntoHealing
Remembering Our Wholeness
A Women’s Dreaming Group
Facilitated by Rev. Drue Nottage
Our dreams are calls of awakening, pathways to healing and integration. As soul messengers they are windows into deeper self knowing and wisdom. Actively engaging with our dreams brings us into a vital relationship with ourselves, others and sacred Earth, reminding us of our inherent wholeness and, with heart, our oneness with all life.

9 Mondays 7 - 9.30pm from 6th February Cost: £120 Concessions: £100 |
With a focus on awakening and healing, this group will explore the different levels of dreams and, by intuitively and creatively feeling our way into them, allow their meaning to unfold.
The course will be facilitated by Drue who has trained and worked as a psychosynthesis counsellor and group facilitator for many years. She has been apprenticed to a Native American Shaman. Now as an Interfaith minister, she also offers spiritual counselling and personalised ceremonies to those of faith and no faith.

YOU ARE THE LIGHT
THE ESSENCE of GNOSTIC CHRISTIANITY
an experiential day with Martin Nathanael
Saturday 11th February 2012 10.00 am – 4.30 pm
at St Bede’s Pastoral Centre,
21 Blossom St., York, YO24 1AQ
Cost: £30
“You are the light!”The Gnostic Christians during the early centuries of this era took these words of Jesus seriously, and a recurring theme of theirs was the invitation to “know yourself” as that light or, put another way, to realise your essential Christ-nature. Martin will draw on such teachings from the Gospels of Mary, Philip and Thomas, and other less well-known texts from the same period.
Though less explicit, the same invitation can be found in the New Testament teachings of Jesus and the apostles, and in the works of great Christian mystics. In particular, Martin will share an approach to sacred writings (e.g., the Parables of Jesus) which draws out their mystical meaning.
Gnostic Christianity offers an experiential path of awakening from our mistaken “separate” identity. Without discounting belief, it nevertheless promotes Self-knowledge as a co-existent of God-knowledge. The day will focus on non-dual teachings which emphasise that the knower and the known are One.
Awakening to this truth is not the exclusive privilege of mystics, monastics and the somehow fortunate few, but is equally available to everyone – for it is the essential truth of our being, our divine Christ-Self.

“Only the Mystics will Survive”
Karl Rahner
Tuesdays 14th February, 13th March, 10th April 2012
10.00 am - 4.30 pm
Continuing her introductory day last year, Elizabeth West will explore the path of enlightenment drawing on Christian and Dzogchen Buddhist insights and practice.
Over three days we will examine how the world shapes our lives, discovering our hidden assumptions and their influence on us. The course will focus on how we can change what needs changing by developing a deep practice of stability of the mind (shamatha) and deep insight (vipashyana). The course will show how compassion and mind training not only lead to relaxation in life but also to a breaking through to the true nature of reality.
The course will be of interest to Christians, Buddhists and followers of other religious faiths, and to many people with no religious practice who seek to deepen the meaning of their lives. For those who cannot come to the whole course, each day will be self contained.
£10 suggested donation for each day.
Bring and Share lunch.
