This workshop has been designed, by us as Ministers, for other Ministers who’d like to have an active ministry offering ceremony and or spiritual counselling. Building on the foundation of the two year training we offer practical help and encouragement, as listed above.
We offer tips and ideas for good business practice from that first phone call or conversation out of the blue, which then leads to a dialogue about what exactly you offer as a counsellor or celebrant, through the whole process of preparation and holding of a session or ceremony, and your own process afterwards. We can suggest procedures and structures to have in place for keeping records, responding to enquiries, making bookings, gathering information and creating ceremonies, holding SC clients, and every aspect of what is, in essence, traditional ministry in an alternative way.
We’ll use a mix of - small group discussion, large group discussion; meditation, prayer and closed eye process; information in spoken and written format, and audio visual; song and movement; fun and games; questions and answers – and setting up buddy support to take steps following the workshop.
Our aim is for Ministers to feel informed, supported and inspired to go away from the workshop to begin taking first steps into offering counselling and ceremony in order to earn some or all of their living from ministry.
