You are already whole and have all the inner resources that are required for any healing, balancing or growth that you feel may be desirable. In the words of a poem by Hermann Hesse: “I can give you nothing that does not already have its origins within yourself. I can throw open no picture gallery but your own. I can help make your own world visible - that is all.” These words sum up some fundamental principles of the kind of spiritual guidance, counselling or direction that I offer. As guide or counsellor I help you access and use those “inner resources” of yours. I impose no particular view of the situation in which you find yourself, although in the space that we create together you may well gain a new perspective and reframe your picture of the world, as you “make your own world more visible” to yourself.
With spiritual healing you may feel as if you are receiving energies from outside yourself. It may also be that you access your own self-healing powers by connecting more authentically with your greater being, that divine part of you that feels connected to the whole of life and can restore your sense of wholeness. Connection is key, and that is what we aim to become more aware of together, whether in healing or counselling, to bring greater ease to the body and emotions, greater understanding to the mind, and peace and acceptance to the soul.
