I co-run a retreat centre, The Sacred Space Foundation, in rural Cumbria, specialising in support for those in spiritual crisis. We have private self catering units and resident spiritual directors on both sites. See www.sacredspace.org.uk for more information. My principal work is one-to-one with people who are in spirutal crisis and/or confronting major life challenges - breakdowns in relationships, diagnosis of serious illness, breavement etc. More details about my background can be found on the Foundation website. I also work with organisations and groups of individuals in conflict resolution and developing practices and policies for staff support, "caring for the carers" and so on. I run a number of retreats each year either solo or with other kindred spirits, offering in depth work on spiritual direction across faith boundaries, exploring the mystical approach to the divine and looking at the connection between spirituality and wellbeing. My latest published works are "Sacred Space - right relationship and spirituality in health care" (co-authored with Jean Sayre-Adams) and "Coming Home - notes for the journey". The former explores the connection between spirituality and health, the second is a treatise and more personal reflection on the nature of spiritual awakening, mystical union and guidance on deeping our connection with God.
