Mystery & Mastery

FOUR YEAR POST GRAD TRAINING IN COMMUNITY FOR ONESPIRIT MINISTERS

“…we need solitude and community simultaneously: what we learn in one mode can check and balance what we learn in the other. Together, they make us whole, like breathing in and breathing out…..”
– Parker Palmer, A Hidden Wholeness

what is mystery & mastery?

Developed by OneSpirit as a way to deepen our spiritual community, the Mystery & Mastery programme is available to all OneSpirit ministers who wish to deepen their spiritual inquiry alongside fellow ministers. The intention is to create dedicated groups who are committed to continuing our shared exploration of the Mystery of Life and Mastery of Love. The programme landscape is a weaving of the Hindu Chakra system, the Buddhist Eight Fold Path and is hosted across eight retreats over four years.

GETTING STARTED...

When 20 or so ministers are signed up and ready for the next four year journey, the first of eight retreats takes place. These retreats are each community’s sacred gatherings, where the whole group physically connects, reflects, shares their wisdom, enjoys each other’s presence, laughs, sings, dances and explores new emerging spiritual landscapes together.

THE HOLDING & UNFOLDING...

Facilitated by OneSpirit faculty, the retreats include meditations, yoga, rituals, reflection exercises, body work, art work, music, small group inquiry and individual spiritual insight sessions. Between retreats, participants maintain community through spiritual practice, co-counselling sessions, holding small inquiry groups, monthly conference calls, and actively being part of a Love in Action group, which is an opportunity to explore new ways of manifesting love in the world.
