What was it that first called you to train as a OneSpirit interfaith minister?

A recommendation from a friend ordained in 2012 to look into the course, as I felt an urge to deepen my spirituality. The morning of my ‘interview’ call, I was asked to organise a dear friend’s funeral, who passed two days previously. It was absolute confirmation this was my path.

In which year were you ordained?      2017

What is your minister’s vow, and your relationship to it?

“I align with the Highest form of Beauty, Truth, Harmony, Joy and Love, to be in service to the Highest good of all Beings”. This is my purpose. To align myself so I can help others align to these qualities in themselves, others and our environment.

What was the most important thing that changed in your life as a result of the training?

Taking responsibility for who I am. Stepping up to live my purpose. Aligning to my Truth.

How does your ministry or your life’s purpose manifest in the world now?

Living my vow, I offer spiritual counselling, meditation and mindfulness classes for the public and corporate clients. Extending from the alignment with self, I help build teams to realign how we relate to each other. I am also currently working with a team of global systems thinkers on redesigning organisations from hierarchical to more organic structures that allow everyone connected to each group to thrive.

What main sources of inspiration or guidance do you draw on for your continuing spiritual journey?

I strive to keep my mind as clear as possible with daily meditation practice so that I can keep a listening ear, a watchful eye and an open heart for Divine guidance. I continue my shadow integration work with the guidance of dreams. I also frequently dive into books of Divine wisdom from the likes of John O’Donohoe. I find much guidance from the sessions and classes I hold, as wisdom comes in many forms and most often from daily interactions. Also regular supervision and meet-ups with fellow ministers.

Where is your ‘edge’ currently — what most challenges you on your path?

My teenage daughter – my biggest teacher. Particularly at the moment, finding the balance between softness and strength – allowing the softness to enfold us during the challenging times and summoning the strength to stand ground so the clear boundaries provide a solid container for her to grow and stretch to her fullest potential. Being a Pisces – boundaries are challenging for me!

How do you envision your ministry developing in future?

I am looking forward to officiating at wedding ceremonies I have booked, and further opportunities to hold funerary space, whilst continuing to offer spiritual counselling sessions. I also look forward to expanding my ministry in the corporate space, as well as developing a tourism business which started as a seed in self-directed learning. I am truly honoured to be appointed as a trustee to the Board of OneSpirit Interfaith Foundation. This will be a beautiful opportunity to further develop my ministry in service to this whole collective of brave and wonderful souls who are answering their own calls.
