onespirit interfaith foundation

At OneSpirit Interfaith Foundation, we stand deeply troubled by the injustices unfolding in the UK and across the globe. Our hearts ache as we witness the suffering and inequality that persist in our world. These challenges remind us of the urgent need for compassion, understanding, and unity.

In these times of adversity, we draw inspiration from the unwavering commitment of our interfaith ministers. They walk the path of light, embodying the values of peace, reconciliation, and mutual respect that are central to our mission. Their dedication to bridging divides and fostering harmony is a beacon of hope.

Our mission remains steadfast: to promote interfaith understanding and to support the creation of a world where all people can coexist in peace. We believe in the power of dialogue, shared wisdom, and collective action to overcome the barriers that separate us. Our commitment to this cause is more resolute than ever.

Together, we hold onto the hope for a brighter today and a more just tomorrow. We are grateful for the courage and compassion of our ministers and partners, and we continue to work tirelessly towards a future where peace and reconciliation prevail.

SACRED ACTIVISM

In response to these pressing issues, we are eager to announce the launch of a new initiative called Sacred Activism. This project is designed to address the current global situation and strengthen our collective response as a community. Sacred Activism will focus on:

  1. Acknowledging the Current Situation: We are acutely aware of the deep-rooted issues and systemic injustices impacting communities in the United Kingdom and around the globe. Many of these injustices are related to race, religion, or creed—forms of discrimination that we will never tolerate. We recognise that acknowledging and naming these specific injustices is the first crucial step toward addressing them. By bringing these critical issues into the light, we aim to raise awareness and foster a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by those affected. This process of naming the injustice allows us to confront it directly and catalyse meaningful dialogue and action to address the root causes of these disparities and work towards effective solutions.

  2. Mobilising Our Network of Ministers: In response to the urgency of the current crises, we are calling upon our dedicated network of interfaith ministers to step forward with renewed energy. We are seeking those ministers who can offer not just practical support and aid, but also emotional and spiritual comfort to individuals and communities in distress. Through their compassionate presence and actionable support, we aim to alleviate suffering, foster resilience, and build solidarity among those facing adversity. Their efforts will be crucial in providing the necessary relief and encouragement during these challenging times.

  3. Compiling and Sharing Resources: Recognising the complexity of the needs arising from these crises, we will undertake the task of compiling and disseminating a comprehensive and accessible list of resources and services. This will include information on emergency assistance, mental health support, and community services available to those in need. By centralising and sharing this vital information, we aim to empower individuals and communities to access the support they require and to enhance collective efforts in addressing the immediate and long-term needs of those affected.

Sacred Activism aligns with our mission to promote interfaith understanding and foster a world where all people can live in peace. Through dialogue, shared wisdom, and collective action, we aim to bridge divides and build a more just and compassionate world.
