Join us for 6 weekly 90 minute gatherings to learn and discuss academic peace theory as we apply the theoretical to the spiritual.

About the course

We will move through themes that speak directly to the experience of practising peace in the world:
  • See yourself in the layers of society through the lens of peacebuilding
  • Commit your knowledge of conscious communication to the challenges of active conflict resolution and transformation
  • Define the nuanced differences between types of violence and qualities of peace
  • Transcend the pitfalls of conflict dynamics using psychospiritual concepts
  • Feel empowered and enabled to pivot your ministry fully into peacebuilding (and call yourself a peacebuilder)
  • Understand the positions, interests, needs, and standpoints of people you serve

Date & Format

  • Dates: Saturdays, 7th November – 12th December 2026
  • Time: 3:00pm – 4:30pm, UK time
  • Delivered online via Zoom

Six weekly sessions, each 90 minutes, combining lecture and presentation on theory with group discussion, spaciousness for journaling and creative expression, and a 10–15 minute tea break.

Who It Is For

This course is open to spiritual practitioners, clergy, educators, tutors, teachers, community leaders, philanthropists, charitable volunteers, or anyone aspiring to be any of the above from within our OneSpirit minister community. This unique offering will speak directly to the experience of being a OneSpirit minister.
 
Places are held for a maximum of 12–15 participants, to allow for genuine depth of conversation and shared reflection.

      Reverend April Kling is an interfaith pastor and award-winning peace scholar residing in rural Ireland, originally born and raised in Texas, USA.

      She is the founder of Creativity is Spirituality, a multimedia company that offers interactive workshops, youtube/podcast production, workbook publishing, and public speaking.

      April was ordained with OneSpirit Interfaith Foundation in 2022 and earned her Master’s Degree (MPhil) at Trinity College Dublin in International Peace Studies & Conflict Resolution in 2025, First Class with Honours and Distinction. She offers individual and group guidance for practitioners of peacebuilding, community leadership, social justice, human rights, and youth empowerment.
