our training

We’ll soon be opening enrolment for our 2026 Spiritual Development and Ministry Training, and we’d love to keep you informed. This training is more than a course. It’s a two-year, soul-level invitation to explore spiritual traditions, reflect on your calling, and grow into a presence that brings compassion, healing, and connection into the world.

Our 2026 offering will include two pathways:

  • Online Training – inspired by our Birch & Cherry Tree Pathway, blending live online sessions with optional in-person gatherings for deeper exploration.
  • In-Person Training – a fully offline experience, an updated version of our much-loved Sylvan Pathway for those who remember it.

Whether you consider yourself spiritual, religious, questioning, curious, or simply open to exploring, this programme meets you where you are. We welcome all who feel called to explore life, service, and spirit within an inclusive, supportive, and heart-led community.

“Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.”

— Howard Thurman

What Our Training Offers

Our Spiritual Development and Ministry Training is a two-year immersive programme that supports the whole person. It blends spiritual exploration, pastoral skills, deep inner work, and practical ministry experience in a way that feels grounded, inclusive, and human.

Throughout the training you will:

Grow your inner life
You will explore spiritual traditions, contemplative practices, and reflective inquiry in ways that help you deepen your understanding of yourself and the world. The focus is never on adopting a particular belief, but on discovering what feels true and meaningful for you.

Develop confidence and presence
Students learn how to stay grounded and centred, even in moments of intensity. Practices drawn from neuroscience, somatic awareness, and contemplative traditions help you build the steadiness and clarity needed for compassionate service.

Learn the art of spiritual accompaniment
You will develop the skills to support others through life’s tender and transformative moments. This includes deep listening, pastoral presence, ethics, boundary awareness, and the ability to accompany people from many backgrounds and worldviews.

Create meaningful ceremony
The training includes guidance in crafting and leading ceremonies such as weddings, funerals, baby blessings, and rites of passage. You will learn to honour the diversity of spiritual expression through creativity, sensitivity, and authenticity.

Engage in conscious communication
Communication is taught as a living spiritual practice. You will explore a unique framework that brings together ancient listening traditions, trauma-informed understanding, somatic awareness, and modern neuroscience. This helps you communicate with compassion, hold difference with integrity, and create spaces where others feel truly heard.

Learn within a supportive community
OneSpirit’s approach recognises that learning happens not only through content, but through relationship. Students learn in a community that listens, reflects, and grows together, creating a shared field that supports deep personal and collective transformation.

If you’d like to learn more about our application process, the curriculum, our community of students and ministers, or simply wish to talk through the training in more detail, we’d love to hear from you.

There are no silly questions, and nothing we won’t do our best to help with. Whatever you’re curious about, please don’t hesitate to reach out using the button below. We’re here to support you every step of the way.

Words from Our Students

Jennie, Current Student

I have been 100% authentic and felt accepted.

Juliet, Current Student

What a journey it’s been: rich, humbling, and deeply transformative. I can hardly believe how quickly this first year has passed. From day one, I committed to being fully in the arena, heart open, spirit listening, showing up with presence and courage. What stands out most is the depth of connection: with self, with others, and with the sacred in all things. The practice of truly listening, without fixing, judging, or rushing, has changed me. OneSpirit has offered a mirror, a balm, and a fire, all at once. I feel stretched, softened, and inspired to keep walking this path with reverence and love.

Abigail, 2025 Graduate

My person was accepted in my wholeness. without question or dissection.

Donna, 2025 Graduate

I loved every second of the training, and feel tremendously grateful to have had the opportunity to become a minister with an organisation that lives and breathes such important values as: love and respect for all being, authenticity and wholeness, love enriched through personal growth and reflection, diversity within community, the wisdom of both past and future, and listening that heals and uplifts. A huge thank you to everyone for all the work and love put into this training, and I hope many more may have the chance to receive the enormous gift it offers.

Olly, 2025 Graduate

I feel deeply grateful to everyone at OneSpirit for having supported this ministry training. I admire the way the organisation is growing and I hope it’s ambitions are realised.

Audrey, 2025 Graduate

I am the better as a human being for having walked this road, for having delved deeper and for having awakened a little more. In the awakening, is a greater strength within and also more tears for the tenderness of our world and a resolve to authentically serve.

Ivan, 2025 Graduate

I learned a great deal about spirituality, religious practice, ceremony, ritual, about creating and allowing space for myself and others. The workings of the inner curriculum, the magical, the Field of unconditional love, and trusting the inexpressible is where I am most changed.

Anonymous, 2025 Graduate

I deeply appreciate the thoughtfulness and care that the staff brought to the ordination ceremonies. It was a profoundly special moment, beautifully held and lovingly crafted, and one I will continue to cherish. I’m proud to be associated with OneSpirit and grateful for the integrity and inclusivity it represents. The training has left a lasting impression, not only in shaping my ministry but in affirming the values I hope to embody.

Anna Julia, 2024 Graduate

If I could offer advice or encouragement to someone considering enrolling in the OneSpirit training, it would be: Make enrolling your number one priority.

Paul, 2024 Graduate

It has been great. I have very much enjoyed working with all three tutors and look forward to the onward journey. I have found all three tutors to be very knowledgeable, professional and supportive in a very mindful and caring way. They do so in a way that shows compassion and genuine care for the well-being of students.

Elizabeth, 2024 Graduate

I’ve enjoyed most: Being SEEN, studying, showing up and the commitment, the creativity in sessions… A deepening into music and poetry, pilgrimage, and learning from the exquisite modelling of the tutors (through thick and thin).

Jennifer, 2024 Graduate

I was drawn to the positioning of OneSpirit outside of the major faith paths and yet respectful towards, and interested in, all spiritual ways. I so appreciated how OneSpirit displays integrity and inclusion and a commitment to peacefulness and reconciliation. The people I had encountered before applying, and the surrounding materials, suggested this was a programme with real depth and quality and that was very much fulfilled in my experience of the journey.
