Your authority for each ceremony
May 15, 2023
Your authority for each ceremony

You will receive a letter from NRS granting you temporary authorisation for that ceremony only.
Each local registrar holds a list of registered celebrants. As a temporarily authorised celebrant you are not on that list, so occasionally a registrar may want to speak to you. Don’t be alarmed; they may simply have a question, or the timing of your authorisation and the couple’s forms may not have matched up.
